PALMOPLANTAR PSORIASIS - Causes, Symptoms & Prognosis:
What Is Palmoplantar Psoriasis?
Palmoplantar psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that affects the palms of the hands and the soles of the feet. It causes thick, scaly, painful patches of skin that may crack, bleed, or make daily activities difficult. Because the palms and soles are constantly in use, this type of psoriasis often feels more disabling than other forms.
It is a form of plaque-type psoriasis but tends to be more stubborn, more painful, and slower to heal due to thicker skin in these regions and constant mechanical friction.
